Welcome to the start of the 2020-21 academic training year which sees changes in both Work Based Placed Assessment (WBPA) arrangements and a new e-portfolio platform for the MRCGP.
We are excited at the prospect of a shiny new GP trainee e-portfolio courtesy of Fourteen Fish (14F). This will bring many new improvements we have been waiting a number of years for. The feedback from the pilot sites already using the new platform is wholly positive.
Migration to the 14F e-portfolio for ALL GP trainees in the East Midlands will be implemented w/c 10th August 2020. You can find out more information here.
Please be aware that all your current e-portfolio information should migrate over to the new e-portfolio, apart from any Educational Supervisor Review (ESR) report that is in progress. We, therefore, suggest you ensure you finish any ESR report you need to complete in early August before 10.8.20. (If you are intending to undertake an ESR after 10.8.20 this will be done on the new 14F e-portfolio.)
Further guidance on changes to WPBAs and ARCP panels, that apply from 5th August 2020, can be found here.
Finally, we have a new Twitter username for the GP training scheme. Please Follow @NottinghamGPST to receive the very latest updates to GP training in the area. (If you were already following our account you don’t need to do anything.)
